Squats

Points to consider

  • 150lb for 5x10
  • 4/5 minute rests
  • successful reps: 10, 10, 10, 8, 8, 5
  • Upper back and shoulders start to feel tired as I get deeper into the sets. I assume I just need more time to adapt.
  • The increase in reps and at a lower weight is giving me the opportunity to feel more comfortable with the squat.
  • Getting light headed towards the end. What can I do to improve that?
  • Would like to be more consistent about how I move back from the uprights and align my feet. Must think more about that

Bench press

Points to consider

  • 5 minute rests
  • Finally completed all sets of 5x5 @ 130lb, but I felt shaky at the start of the last 2 sets. Just tired or needed to eat a bit more before?
  • Trying to keep elbows a bit in front of the bar at the bottom. Also trying to concentrate on that flaring elbows out when going down.
